STRAGETY CORPORATE AND MARKET ANALYSIS

Undertaken a review of the European cereal seeds market for a North American Global Seeds business. Reviewed a strategic crop sector on behalf of an Australian company with recommendations leading to a successful commercial and breeding alliance. Strategic and organisational structure review on behalf of a major European Seeds company including the implementation of the agreed plans including recruitment.

In addition to executing an MBO I have led and executed a number of significant company divestments and purchases. In partnering businesses I have created tactical alliances and negotiated bespoke contract breeding activities.

Awarded Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Member of the Worshipful Company of Marketors and Freeman of the City of London. Member of the Institute of Directors and the Guild of Agricultural Journalists. Former owner of Cambridge Agricultural Publishing “Oilseeds and Industrial Crops magazine; Evergreen Publishing "Spoiled for Choice" and Editor of “Crops for Energy”. Directorships held; Senova Ltd, RAGT Seeds Ltd, BSPB Ltd, BIPO Ltd. Crop Evaluation Ltd. and the functional food company BioDoc AB (Sweden). Chairman to two Innovate UK Research projects as well as assessor for Innovate UK and EU Framework programmes.

CHARITABLE ACTIVITY

I am actively engaged in a number of Charities notably "Variety: the children's charity" where I am a member of the Fundraising Committee, and Branch Vice Chairman of Royal British Legion and District Poppy Appeal Organiser.
